Craftsmanship as foundation

Behind every dish

Culinary Crew started with a conviction: great food deserves more than a good recipe. It deserves attention. To the product, to the technique, to the moment it reaches the table.

That conviction drives everything we do. Whether it's an intimate dinner, a corporate event, or a week embedded in a professional kitchen — the standard is the same. Every ingredient deserves respect. Every dish deserves precision. Every moment at the table deserves to feel right.

We don't believe in standard menus or off-the-shelf solutions. Every event is different, every guest is different, every season brings different produce. That's not a complication — that's the starting point. That's why every project begins with a conversation, not a menu. We listen, we think along, and we build something that fits your occasion, your guests, and your expectations.

Based in Baarn, serving 't Gooi, the Utrecht region, Amsterdam, and the wider Randstad.

How we cook

The product leads. Always. Whatever the season offers at its peak forms the foundation — technique follows. Classical French method as the backbone: cuissons, sauces, fonds. But never as a straitjacket. Soy, miso, citrus, and fermentation bring depth and brightness where a classical approach stops. The kitchen is product-driven, not trend-driven. What reaches the plate starts with what's genuinely exceptional — not what looks good on a menu card.

Texture matters as much as flavour. Crisp alongside silky, warmth alongside freshness, body alongside lightness. Every dish has layers — but stays clear. One wow-moment per plate, not three.

Bold but clean. Generous but precise. Streetfood attitude, fine-dining finish.

David

More than twenty years in professional kitchens, at every level of the brigade. From bistro to fine dining, from high-volume kitchens to refined bespoke work. That experience doesn't live on a CV — it lives in every cut, every sauce, every decision in the moment that matters.

How we work

Culinary Crew is led by chef David. For larger or service-oriented events, selected freelance professionals from his network are brought in when the project calls for it. No permanent brigade, but a permanent standard. The chef knows his people, and everyone who joins works to the same benchmark.

The Team for Every Cuisine

The name says it: Culinary Crew moves comfortably across kitchens, styles, and flavours. French foundation, global influences, Dutch directness. Whether it's a product-driven seasonal menu, a street food sharing table, or a corporate lunch at the highest level — the craftsmanship is the same.
